It's been too long since I've had any wine related work. I was asked to create a Display for the wine department of the Concord Food Co-op.

Space Ape!

Space Ape
Nov 2013
A friend of mine was putting together a artist calendar for 2014. It was a space themed calendar and it just so happened that I recently watched "Rise of the Planet of the Apes." so with that as inspiration I went ahead and painted this little number for the month of June.

Live Free and.... Explore

Poster submission 2013

This is a poster for a competition at the Currier Art Museum in Manchester NH. The guild lines for this competition  had to be something interesting about the state, with a tittle of "Live Free and... "
(New Hampshires state slogan is Live Free or Die, so its a spin off that.) Since I grew up in the woods it wasn't hard to come up with a concept for the illustration.

Catering Menu Cover

I forgot how tedious painting bricks were. Although buildings aren't the most interesting things to paint I'm happy with the way this one came out. As part of the marketing team at the Concord Food Co-op we were struggling with a cover for the  catering menu. They were going to use a photograph for the cover but it with all the telephone poles, cars, people and people the cover didn't really pop out. Then I remember I had this painting I started last year for our grand re-opening, but we never really ended up using. (Which was ok because I felt It wasn't finished.)   I'm glad I had another chance to finish it and to have more practice with buildings.

Metal Gear Rex!

Metal Gear Rex
2013
Oh man, So I grew up with the Metal Gear Series and even though it has huge regurgitating dialogue. For those who have no idea what I'm talking about heres a little info about the game. The Metal Gear Solid series is a fictional story told around real historical events. This is where I think a lot of people drop off because the cutscenes tend to be long. No joke I actually left to go make a sandwich when a cutscene came up. Ate most of it too before the scene was done.

This fan art was for a gallery show with a group of art friends I went to college with. Our theme was video games in the 80's - 90's.

A Cup to Flip Over

Illustration done for an article for Tea Magazine. I used to be on the fence about drinking tea. The most authentic tea I've ever had was at a tea shop called "Dobra Tea" in Portland M.N.

Gift Certificate

I have been doing some graphic designing for some local business around where I live. Here is a newer business who just had there one year anniversary not to long ago. Now its the holiday season and one of the owners asked me to create them a new gift certificate along with creating magazine and newspaper ads here and there. The image of the girl was not illustrated by me, it was actually drawn by the owners wife's Grandfather.

The Clothsmith

Here is a logo I did for a local artisan in Franklin, New Hampshire who makes homemade clothing, scarfs and other comfy wears. She wanted a logo to be based around the look and feel of a Tarot Cart. What I like most about this logo is its ability to advertise this design in unique ways such as; Printing the business cards the same size as tarot cards (4.75'' x 2.50") or making something simple like a black and white stamp or stickers to pass around.

OctoberFest Shirts

T-shirt Graphic
10.10.12
Final shirt
The Original
It looks like I was able to use this logo for something after all. The Concord Co-op hosts a OctoberFest every year. I added on to this design from the original to make it more appropriate for this type of festival. Although I would have liked to have see the final product printed on a more earthy toned sweatshirt It was sill awesome to have another opportunity to use the design.

Revisited piece

The End of Summer

I wanted to revisit this quick speed painting I did one afternoon for someone to use as an advertisement for his beer department. I felt a little awkward handing over the image the first time because it wasn't finished. but he loved it regardless.

The biggest challenge for me on this piece was the little tedious objects in the image such as; GRASS and LEAVES! I've dealt with drawing vines and some variation of leaves before in the Vineyard piece I did, but this one was on a whole new level of accomplishment.

I was called upon again to do a ad for a rapidly growing business here in Concord, NH called "Lilise Designer Resale" If your girl is into fancy clothing I recommend this place. I've never seen so much custom designer clothing in one shop.

The Black Piranha

tattoo design Aug 2012

Tattoo Design I was asked to do for a fellow I work with. This was a great opportunity for me to study fish drawing/painting fish. On a side note: this was probably the most terrifying image I had to find reference for. The Black Piranha is one of the most angriest fish I have ever seen.

comp 1

comp 2
This is another demo done to further my skills with my new intros 4 tablet.

I was at my desk one day and over heard one of my fellow associates. He mentioned that he was having trouble finding an image for his September Harvest Festival. Intrigued with his problem I drew up this quick sketch after work to see if I could help out. The next day I showed him this design and he was all over it. He pitched the design in one of his meetings but the group went with another design.

Dimond Hill Farm

I got hired to create a local farms logo for their business. After surveying the landscape and was finished the grand tour of Dimond Hill Farm It was clear as to what image they wanted to represent them. If you ever get a chance to visit Concord I recommend going up Pleasant Street and checking them out. Their tomatoes are AWESOME!

Farm 2 Fork logo

Here is another logo done by the company I work for. It was made for there outreach program "Farm2Fork" the program is based on connections to locally grown food in the New England Area. The logo was made mostly for their blog.
