vineyard

vineyard 2014
It's been too long since I've had any wine related work. I was asked to create a Display for the wine department of the Concord Food Co-op.

Space Ape!

Space Ape
Nov 2013
A friend of mine was putting together a artist calendar for 2014. It was a space themed calendar and it just so happened that I recently watched "Rise of the Planet of the Apes." so with that as inspiration I went ahead and painted this little number for the month of June.

Live Free and.... Explore

Poster submission 2013

This is a poster for a competition at the Currier Art Museum in Manchester NH. The guild lines for this competition  had to be something interesting about the state, with a tittle of "Live Free and... "
(New Hampshires state slogan is Live Free or Die, so its a spin off that.) Since I grew up in the woods it wasn't hard to come up with a concept for the illustration.

Catering Menu Cover

I forgot how tedious painting bricks were. Although buildings aren't the most interesting things to paint I'm happy with the way this one came out. As part of the marketing team at the Concord Food Co-op we were struggling with a cover for the  catering menu. They were going to use a photograph for the cover but it with all the telephone poles, cars, people and people the cover didn't really pop out. Then I remember I had this painting I started last year for our grand re-opening, but we never really ended up using. (Which was ok because I felt It wasn't finished.)   I'm glad I had another chance to finish it and to have more practice with buildings.

Metal Gear Rex!

Metal Gear Rex
2013
Oh man, So I grew up with the Metal Gear Series and even though it has huge regurgitating dialogue. For those who have no idea what I'm talking about heres a little info about the game. The Metal Gear Solid series is a fictional story told around real historical events. This is where I think a lot of people drop off because the cutscenes tend to be long. No joke I actually left to go make a sandwich when a cutscene came up. Ate most of it too before the scene was done.

This fan art was for a gallery show with a group of art friends I went to college with. Our theme was video games in the 80's - 90's.

A Cup to Flip Over

Illustration done for an article for Tea Magazine. I used to be on the fence about drinking tea. The most authentic tea I've ever had was at a tea shop called "Dobra Tea" in Portland M.N.

Gift Certificate

I have been doing some graphic designing for some local business around where I live. Here is a newer business who just had there one year anniversary not to long ago. Now its the holiday season and one of the owners asked me to create them a new gift certificate along with creating magazine and newspaper ads here and there. The image of the girl was not illustrated by me, it was actually drawn by the owners wife's Grandfather.
